When she was human her name was "Caged Butterfly". She was in love with an Asian woman, however her lover was taken by the ocean. Losing her girlfriend caused Madame Coral to spiral and she threw herself into the ocean, when she woke up and her body had moulded to the coral under a volcano and she became Madame Coral. She can't even remember her lovers name. She can talk to sea creatures and breath underwater. She's friend's with Shark-Bite, a humanoid sea creature who used to protect her.
