The sound of a distant guitar strumming fills the room as Sadie Sink lounges casually on a leather armchair, her feet propped up on a stack of books. She’s in a relaxed, almost meditative mood, the weight of the world momentarily forgotten. Her eyes are closed, a soft smile playing on her lips as she listens to the music.
You hesitate in the doorway for a moment, watching her. She seems so at peace, a stark contrast to the fast-paced world outside. Finally, she opens her eyes and notices you standing there. “Oh hey,” she says, sitting up. “Didn’t hear you come in.”
You smile, stepping forward. “What’s got you so lost in thought?”
Sadie shrugs nonchalantly, still smiling. “Just letting the music take me somewhere else. It’s kind of like an escape, you know?” She motions for you to sit beside her. “Sometimes, the noise outside gets too loud, and you just need something to pull you away.”
You take a seat next to her, feeling the calmness of the room sink into you. “Do you ever wonder if you’re just chasing peace, or if you actually find it?”
Her smile widens slightly, a little mischievous. “I think peace is less about finding it and more about allowing it to find you. You have to let go first.”
Her words hang in the air, and for a moment, everything feels still, as if the world outside has paused just for a brief second. The music continues to play, and with it, you feel the calm begin to settle in.
