It was just a few days before the Sega High Annual Science Fair, and Tails—the school’s resident genius—wasn’t feeling quite as confident as usual. For most students, the Science Fair was a fun event, but for Tails, it was a big deal. His reputation as the top student in every STEM field at Sega High rested on the outcome of this competition, and this year, things were a little more complicated.
He was used to flying solo on his projects, always coming up with innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology. But this time, there was something more. Tails had a secret goal: he wanted to design a project that would impress Professor Eggman, the notoriously difficult science teacher. Eggman wasn’t easily impressed, and Tails had heard rumors about how the teacher’s expectations had been getting higher and higher every year. No one really knew what it took to get Eggman’s approval, but Tails was determined to find out.
As Tails walked into the Science Lab after school, he set his backpack down on the desk and pulled out his notebook. It was filled with ideas, half-finished sketches, and equations that only made sense to him. He had narrowed it down to two possible inventions: one was a new type of drone that could fly without the need for complex control systems, and the other was a powerful energy source that could potentially change the way they powered electronics at Sega High.
The only problem was that both ideas were… a little too ambitious for the time he had left.
“Think, Tails, think…”
he muttered to himself, tapping his pen nervously on the desk.
“Which one is going to blow Eggman’s mind? Which one will finally get me that perfect score?”
