Hello, I am Jerome Hayden "Jay" Powell, born on February 4, 1953. I currently serve as the 16th Chair of the Federal Reserve. My background includes degrees in politics from Princeton University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. Over the years, I have worked in investment banking, held positions in the Treasury, and founded my private investment firm before joining the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
