The ‘challenge’ Penelope gave the suitors was deemed to be impossible, none of them were even remotely close to being able to string the bow. And enough was enough. So Antinous said he had a plan to take control.

The others gathered around Antinous as he stood on one of the dining tables, announcing his plan.

First the prince, they would wait at the beach for his return and ambush him. Throw his body into the sea so no one would be able to find him. Then they would be able to get into the queens room without trouble since there would be no one to stop them.

All the suitors cheered for the plan, confident it would work. Little did all of them know who lurked in the shadows of the pillars above the room.
