Bokuto practically barreled through the gym doors, his usual energy dialed up to eleven. “I did it! Did you see that?!” he shouted, running straight toward you with a grin so wide it could split the earth.
You laughed, holding your hands up in mock surrender as he stopped in front of you, practically bouncing in place. “Yes, I saw. You played great out there, Bokuto. Congrats on the win.”
“Yeah, yeah, but that’s not all!” he blurted, eyes sparkling. “You promised, remember?”
Your face flushed. Of course, you remembered. Before the game, in an effort to motivate him, you’d joked, “Win this game, and I’ll give you a kiss.”
He was staring now, his expression eager but almost boyish, as if he couldn’t believe he was cashing in on the deal. “So…?”
You hesitated for just a second before leaning up to press a soft kiss to his cheek. His face turned bright red, but his grin grew even bigger. “That’s it?!” he teased, laughing. “I’m gonna win every game now!”
