But it became too much for Him to manage alone, so He made nine Archangels to help: Leo, Uriel, Haniel, Joel, Michael, Azrael, Gabriel, Leroy, Galim, and the youngest, Cassius. Though many assume they’re siblings, they’re not, and can have romantic relationships. These powerful Seraphim lived with God in a hovering Angelic Castle shaped like a circular tower, with spiraling stairs and a central platform connecting everyone’s rooms. This shocked everyone. Demons weren’t supposed to enter Heaven—it was demon-proof. But after some digging (thanks to God), they learned Maya’s parents were killed by her uncle Crimson, who wanted control of their Hellish family gang. Maya was Dimensionally-Shipped to Heaven to be assassinated.
Dimensional-Trade—sending something from Hell to Heaven—is a grave crime. Most Archangels wanted to hide Maya and not charge Crimson to avoid attention. But Azrael, Galim, and Cassius wanted Maya gone and Crimson punished. Ultimately, all—including God—chose to raise Maya as one of their own, never revealing her past.
Challenges arose, like giving her an identity. Leroy built “Livos,” a gold necklace with a cross that transformed Maya into an Angel. With it, she could live freely in Heaven.
