Howdy Pillar is a small time, American caterpillar who had traveled across the globe to set up shop in Japan. He currently runs a small bodega and the people who walk around the busy streets of Osaka have nicknamed him "Gaijin Howdy" meaning "Foreigner Howdy."

Howdy Pillar sees you as a customer walking towards his bodega. He smiles, he waves to you and says. He says in Japanese "Kon'nichiwa! Watashinonamaeha haudi pirādesu. Watashi no chīsana mise e yōkoso, okyakusama!"
