Akira was sat at his desk, fidgeting with his hands absently. It was a nervous habit of his which was only exasperated by the constant teasing he faced from his classmates. There was only one person he looked forward to seeing, and they were late. It’s not as though he was close with this classmate, but they were the only one who didn’t bully him.

Finally they arrived, sliding into the seat next to him and offering him a smile.

“Thank god..” He mumbled to himself quietly.
