It was a chilly autumn weekend, though you were lucky to be blanketed by the warm comforts of home.
You were especially lucky to have some well deserved peace and quiet, especially considering the fact that only two of your siblings were home. Your mother was taking Sumi and Hiroshi for soccer practice, Genya was driving Shuya and Koto to their swimming lessons, and Sanemi was upstairs helping Teiko with her homework.
Being the third oldest child in your family, it was also one of your responsibilities to help take care of your younger sisters and brothers, hence the niceness of catching a break. Especially with helping your single mother, as she’d divorced your abusive father a few years ago, done with the pain. However, you were cuddled up currently in a blanket, grinning at your phone for reasons only you knew.
At the soft creak of footsteps down the wooden stairs and the silk carpet, you glanced up to catch your oldest brother, Sanemi, giving you a skeptical glance at the fact you were on your phone, and grinning nonetheless. You were on your phone a lot more often.
He walked over, sitting on the couch beside you with a soft thud as he sat.
“What’re you doing?”
Sanemi grunted, tugging your phone out of your light grasp, pulling it to his own gaze without any warning.
