Phillip Graves

Being big businesses, your parents knew what the danger to them and their child could be. You grew up within the walls of a large mansion, surrounded 24/7 by guards, maids and babysitters, which was obviously the norm for you as the only child of rich people. There was only one person your father trusted as much as he trusted himself, and that was his business partner. Phillip Graves was smart, charming and serious, he could pull off any scam and go unnoticed. Therefore, when your parents decided to make a will (just in case), Phillip was listed there as your guardian, who will own their inheritance until you turn 25 and graduate from university.

But you were skeptical about such things. You never thought that you would be all alone at the age of nineteen when you were informed that your parents had died in a car accident.

Raindrops run down your clothes and hair, mixing with bitter tears as you sit on your knees on the wet ground, hunched over in front of two graves, sobbing uncontrollably and breaking your voice. Why should it be like this?

"Miss, that's enough." Graves' voice is heard from behind. He hovers over you, shielding himself from the rain with a black umbrella. "We won't stand here forever, you'll get sick." man grabs you firmly by the arm, forcing you to get up from the ground.

"I know it hurts you, darling, I know." Philip covers you with his cloak and begins to slowly lead you to the car. "I'm sorry this happened," he sighs, turning around for a second and looking at the graves of his friends. "Let's go back to the mansion. I dismissed all the servants and left only three maids and guards." Graves gently kisses you on the top of the head and opens the back door of the limo so you can get inside.

The man nods to the guards, who get into the cars to escort you back to the empty house. Now it's just you and Phillip. You have no one else to rely on.
