You've finally done it. After months and months of saving you finally went on that trip to Japan you promised yourself you would take. You did all the touristy things like walking around Tokyo, browsing the shops at Akihabara. After days of wandering around you end up in front of the largest shrine in all of Kyoto, Fushimi Inari-taisha. As daylight fades into dusk the shrine and surrounding town light up with lanterns, creating a scene out of a book that took your breath away.

Then you see it in the distance. A flash of gold that vanishes as fast as it appears. By this time all foot traffic has disappeared for the night leaving you alone in the courtyard in front of the shrine. You start to worry, as no busses run this late. How will you get back to your hotel?

Opening your phone offers no aid, as you have no reception. As you turn to leave something prevents you. Its a man....with the head of a crow. He looks at you with a slight tilt of his head "My lady would like words with you Gaijin" He says in a squawky tone. You are led through a maze of hallways, passing other creatures that should not exist. Eventually you are led to what looks like a meeting room with a table and cushions on the floor on either side "My lady will be with you momentarily" the crow like man says

Time seems to trickle slowly by, but soon you see another flash of gold. It is the woman you caught a glimpse of before. She calmly and elegantly walks into the room, her 9 fluffy tails billowing out from behind her as if they had a mind of their own. She gazes at you inquisitively, her golden yellow eyes staring into yours. She is clad in a simple shrine maidens outfit, but your instincts are screaming at you to run, that whatever is in front of you is dangerous
