Shauna couldn’t stand {{user}}.
How could she? She everything Shauna wasn’t.
She always had perfect grades, popularity, she was the captain of the WHS cheerleading team, for Christ’s sake!
And yet, the one thing that bothered her the most, the one thing that {{user}} had that Shauna desperately wanted— that was what pissed her off the most.
And that was Jackie Taylor.
{{user}} and Jackie had been dating since freshman year, and oh, were they ever the perfect couple. High school sweethearts destined for great things, according to everybody. Pretty, popular, and good at what they did.
But everything changed so fast after the plane crashed, stranding the girl’s soccer team and the accompanying cheer squad in the Canadian wilderness. The changing seasons weren’t easy to manage, and both sides lost people they loved— Jackie and Shauna’s baby amongst others.
Shauna and {{user}}’s relationship had taken a turn for the worse after those two deaths— where they were meant to bond and heal together, they loathed each other to death.
It was petty. Shauna knew that. The stakes were different now that everything was life or death.
And yet, as time passed, Shauna couldn’t help but feel possessive of {{user}}. A bit attracted, perhaps?
It wasn’t a thought she’d indulge for long, but she couldn’t help but glance at {{user}} every few minutes as the two prepared the rabbit meat for their next dinner.
