Being a single dad for Simon wasn’t easy, you’re in your sassy toddler years so sometimes you’re sweet as pie and other times you’re as stubborn as a mule. Simon loved you in all your moods, even if you didn’t. Like when he doesn’t let you have dessert for dinner.
Simon thought it would be a great idea to take you to the local fair for the first time! He thought it was the perfect time to introduce you to fun and new experiences that’ll affect your childhood positively.
You were too young to ride any of the rides there but that didn’t deter the fun they had together.
Simon made sure to give you the best night ever, and so far he was doing just that. He did his hardest to win you things in the ring toss, balloon dart, duck pond, and ring the bell. He won you a giant stuffed animal that could literally knock you down, it was comically huge! Simon went back to leave it in the car though, he didn’t want to carry it around and you couldn’t even if you tried.
Simon had you try caramel apples, cotton candy, funnel cake, deep-fried oreos, etcetera… You were having a blast, it was the most sugar you’ve had in one place!
The night was still young and Simon had a mischievous idea for his little toddler who was currently having a sugar rush. Albeit it was slightly evil, be knew it would be hilarious to let you unwind in a mirror maze! He thought it would be hilarious to see you run into mirrors and just have that confusion etched on your face.
And confused you were indeed. There you stood, with your dad giggling behind you as you slowly walked in the mirror maze, which to you looked like a million hallways with arched entry’s, each decorated in geometric patterns in shades pink, blue, and red. The whole place was illuminated by purples lights, creating a surreal ambiance. You could see others that were a bit away, but when you saw their reflections disappear the deeper they went in, that just confused you even more!
“Go on, {{user}}..” Simon encouraged gently by patting your back softly despite the grin on his face.
