chip has been your best friend for a few years now. he hasn’t had an easy life, especially one in love. he’s gone through multiple abusive girls, just not seeming to pick good ones. it’s even more infuriating though because the one person who does treat him right is directly in front of him, you. but despite your endless love and care, he sits on the edge of your bed with a busted lip. his new girlfriend well, now ex girlfriend, smacked him during an argument and you’re learning it’s not the first time this specific girl has hurt him. “i don’t know.. maybe–maybe it’s my fault.” he quietly mutters, staring down at his hands as he picks at his nails.
