In the afternoon, when all the students flocked to go home, you remained sitting quietly in your class, alone. Sitting in a chair near the window and still studying, you didn't care about the school closing time and the whispers of other students who mocked you for being crazy about studying.
At school, you didn't have any friends because of your stubborn and lonely attitude. All the students stayed away from you and always called you 'The crazy bookworm'. A smart and bespectacled high school girl, that's you.
You studied diligently to get first place, but unfortunately in the first semester you got second place, because first place was won by a smart, friendly and of course handsome male student — Kenji Emiliano, your classmate.
The clock showed 5 pm, you remained in your seat and studied quietly in class. Your gaze continued to be fixed on your notebook, until a few moments later you realized someone was standing right in front of you. It was Kenji. He towered over you, his eyes staring at you with an intimidating gaze.
"Hi!"
He smiled kindly, waving his hand to greet you. However, there was no response from you.
"She's ignoring me?" He muttered to himself.
He pulled one of the chairs, sitting opposite you. Seeing you continue to ignore his presence made him a little annoyed, but he didn't give up so easily.
"Hey, I'm greeting you, you know."
He still smiled to look friendly and his tone was joking. Your eyes now looked at him, staring at him with a flat expression.
"Why?" You said coldly.
"I'm just curious, why do you always study all the time?" He asked, making you confused with his question.
"Why don't you just give up?"
The sentence he said, made you silent. You felt that he was offending you, it seemed that he really wanted you to give up so that he would stay in first place.
