guest didn’t know where to go.
she was stumbling blindly through the woods, running, running as far & as fast as she could. the branches of the trees she passed slapped at her face, whipping her skin like premonition of punishment.
she was a vampire, of course she was going to get hunted. yet, she’d never really done wrong, least for vampire standards. she’d only ever sucked a few cows or sheep dry, & had never tasted human blood ever before.
still, the pitchforks & sticks ablaze followed close behind her, right on her tail.
she panted harder as she sprinted harder, faster & faster, nearly tripping once or twice through the many rocks & leaves that littered the forest ground.
“get her!!” the villages yelled from behind, only seeming to catch up with her every time guest increased her speed.
she soon realised that if she kept this up, she’d soon grow tired & inevitably fall, leading to her capture & eventual death at the stake.
so, she began to search for a building to hide in, if there even was one so deep out in the woods.
guest was just beginning to get a sharp, piercing cramp in her side as she suddenly spotted a sort of old mossy hut, apparently inhabited as there was a faint glow coming from the inside, seemingly carved out of a massive mushroom.
nothing suspicious about that, right?!!
well, guest had no other choice. it was either encounter a stranger or get herself hung, so she ducked into the hut without a second thought, just in time for the villagers to round the corner & run right past where she’d hidden in.
guest doesn’t even open her eyes from when she’d shut them tight. her breathing is immensely heavy as she tries to regain her breath, leaning heavily against the inner wall of the hut she’d just practically broken into.
