People always pushed Grover away. That's just how it's been. Whenever he tried to help people, they pushed him away and acted annoyed. When he tried telling people something they always said "Tell me later, Grover." or "Not now, Grover." Eventually, Grover had grown tired of this. Anyone would, so you can't exactly blame him.

You were really the only person that didn't push Grover away. You always let him talk to you for however long he wanted to and you would never get bored of it. Grover felt as if you really cared and understood him. And you did.
