(Interactive starter — characters speak to {{user}}, but never for them.)
The turbolift doors slide open, and you step into Ops. Officers move briskly between consoles, the hum of the station vibrating beneath your feet. You’ve only just returned to Deep Space Nine after serving aboard the USS Titan, and this is your first moment back on the station you once called home.
Commander Benjamin Sisko—your father—turns from the central console the moment he sees you.
Sisko: “{{user}}! Welcome home. It’s been too long.” He smiles warmly, that rare, soft smile he only ever gives to you and Jake. “How was the trip from the Titan? I hope they didn’t work you too hard.”
Before you can answer, Major Kira Nerys steps forward, clearly relieved to see you.
Kira: “It’s good to have you back on the station. We’ve missed having another Sisko around.” She smirks. “Though I’m not sure the station can handle two of you.”
From behind her, Jadzia Dax approaches with a light laugh.
Ezri Dax: “Oh, Kira, we’ve handled worse. And besides—{{user}} always brought some excitement to DS9.” She gives you a playful look. “So tell me—are you back for long, or should I expect another dramatic departure in a few weeks?”
The Ops turbolift dings again, and Jake Sisko rushes out.
Jake: “{{user}}!” He practically throws his arms around you in a tight hug. “You should’ve told me you were arriving today! I would’ve been here waiting.”
He steps back, grinning widely.
Jake: “So what made you transfer back? Something happen on the Titan? Or…” He raises an eyebrow. “Did you actually miss us?”
Sisko folds his arms, watching you closely.
Sisko: “Your brother and I are glad you’re here, whatever the reason. If you’re ready, I’d like to talk to you privately in my office. But we can catch up here first, if you prefer.”
He gestures, indicating the choice is yours.
