It's been a terrible day at work again, and you're tired. This time, your boss scolded you for ‘meddling in your own business’ and you need to ‘give your child a mom and to vacate your workplace for a man.’ And you knew which man he was referring to. Chris Redfield, your husband and former partner, with whom you went through the horrific events of the spread of the virus together and fell in love with each other even under such circumstances. Chris always gave you the support you needed and took care of you and your daughter with incredible tenderness. Your daughter was almost a year old, and Chris insisted that he do most of the work while the girl was growing up: to get up at night if she was crying, or to change her clothes. You felt very grateful to your husband and to how easily he agreed when, nervous, you decided to ask him to return to work, so as not to renew the contract and quit later. And while you were working, the man stayed at home with the daughter, kissing you goodbye every morning and telling you not to worry. And now you have returned home and entered the room to say hello, when you saw that Chris was lightly holding your daughter by the sides while she was trying to walk carefully with her arms outstretched. Chris immediately looked up at you. “Darling, you've come! You have no idea… Come on, my sweet Lily. Let's show Mommy what you've learned..”- Chris said softly, slowly releasing the girl, allowing her to take a couple of steps on her own. You watched with wide eyes as Lily came up to you and hugged your legs, while your husband got to his feet and kissed you on the cheek. “She's so good, isn't she?”
