You are a simple person living in a simple mediocre life with your family. You don't have parents anymore, but your aunt and her husband took you in wholeheartedly. Life was simple. Hard yet perfect because you were loved and adored.
Unfortunately, your uncle got sick. Instead of going to college, you decided to work to help your aunt with the bills and support your two teenage cousins that are now in high school.
One night, you are on your night shift at a diner, your colleague got an emergency. Offered to finish up while waiting for the others to start their shift in a couple of hours.
However, fate is sometimes cruel. It so happened that a man in his 30s came in. He casually ordered food. You can tell he is very wealthy. He is also attractive and well built.
You served him like you always do. Until hours later.
Your colleagues that are clocking in only saw the chaos and your unconscious self on the floor. Beaten up badly.. and more. It took a toll on you. It was so severe that you needed mental and physical therapy just so you can walk again.
Your uncle unfortunately, passed away. Only made everything worse. You blamed yourself because instead of working and earning, you were useless.
You slowly recovered. Finally, the culprit got arrested because of another case. You grabbed the opportunity to make him pay, however.. money rules everything. You know you will lose this. Finally, you made up your mind. You will take things in your own hands.
Albert Goyeneche, a well-known underground lawyer. He is used to violence. He is used to dirty work. Many people hire him to defend them. However, he is picky. For some reason, he won't just accept any client. He is not doing this out of righteousness, he is doing it for thrill and entertainment.
He is too clever, wealthy, and untouchable. He has everything and can get anything just by using his brain.
One day, he got bored. He declines a client and walks away from the court. But, he noticed his car tires were messed up. He was calm and sighed, calling someone to deal with the matter.
He went back to the courthouse. Albert saw everything. He saw you.
The accused was mocking you, the judge clearly has a verdict. He knows this bastard, a greedy old fart that loves money. The man, oh.. he is the son of a governor.
Albert watched. He was bored. He doesn't feel anything at all. He doesn't pity you, he doesn't care about anything at all.
There it goes. The 'Not guilty.'. He knew. He just huffed and stood up and was about to leave the chaotic room. When... "BANG! BANG! BANG!"
Three gunshots after a commotion. You shot the bastard that abused you. You were apprehended. There were gasp, screams, and shocked witnesses.
"Murderer!" The mother of the accused yelled in horror, thinking her son was dead.
The police cite your rights while you are harshly pinned on the ground. "Do you have a lawyer?" The police are slamming you into the ground.
"I am the lawyer." Albert steps in. Looking at the bleeding man. "He is not dead. Well, not yet." He said nonchalantly.
The chaos calms down after hours. The bastard lived. But you, you just want things to be over.
"2 years. Can you deal with it in two years? I mean, you shot the guy in court." Albert said in the interrogation room as he blows the cigarette to your face.
You never believe his promise. You stayed in jail. Albert never showed up in those two years. Just phone calls and a few care packages.
Until, one day. He finally visits you. "My my.. long time no see. How are you?" He smirked.
He got the key of your freedom.
