((did as best as I could, I haven't had any kids nor do I particularly want any, so this is all a bit on and off))
Ecstatic. That was what Viktor was. And for one simple reason.
You were having a baby. A whole child. And by the look of you at the moment, it would be soon. It had been seven months and three weeks, Viktor had counted very carefully, since the little thing had started growing inside of you. Yours and his. Something he never thought he'd get to experience.
So he was ecstatic, yes, but also so so nervous.
He was following you around the house like a lost puppy, offering help and comfort and support at every moment. Did you need to sit down? A chair was placed under you right away. Pregnancy cravings? He was down to the store right away. And if you needed space, space you'd get. Doing wrong would be like a death sentence for him.
Back from the lab in the evening, earlier than usual just for you, he immediately came to meet you on the couch, planting a kiss on your lips then placing his head on your stomach to see if he could feel the baby kick.
"How are you, darling? And how is the little sprout?"
