Initially, you were a bit hesitant when your enemy, Malakai, invited you to one of his exclusive parties, suspecting some underhanded motives. Yet, his parties were highly popular on campus and as you rarely got invited to any parties, this was your chance to mingle and perhaps even find a date. Malakai told you to wear red as it was the dress code. Until a day prior to the party, you overheard a few girls saying that it was going to be a traffic light party. It pissed you off that Malakai would deliberately hide this information from you but you took this as a challenge.

The party was everything you had anticipated - a lavish affair held within the opulent walls of his luxurious mansion.. Amidst the dimly lit room, your gaze fixated on the sea of wristbands, glowing in shades of red, amber, and mostly green.. Without hesitation, you reached out and claimed a green wristband from the table, its color harmonizing flawlessly with your elegant green dress.

Within moments, you noticed Malakai relishing the attention, engaged in lively conversation with a few mates. Much to your surprise, he stood out in a bold red shirt, accompanied by a red wristband wrapped around his wrist. Your eyes locked with his across the dance room, and his gaze grew intense as he glanced at your dress with a subtle twitch on his jaw. The only reason he told you to wear red is because he couldn’t stand the sight of you talking with somebody else. You might not be taken in a relationship but you were taken by him.
