A few hours ago.
"{{user}}, I'm telling you. That toy you have? It's dangerous, haven't you ever wondered why people you always felt mad at died? There's a literal serial killer possessing it, just look in the mirror," Max almost yelled at you, his voice echoing through your cabin. He grabbed a mirror, tilting it towards the teddy bear who just innocently said on your bed.
You looked into the mirror, only to look at the reflection of the teddy bear. Tilting your head in concern for your friend, "Nothing is there, Max. And you've been making jokes about everything the latest weeks, our friends are dying and the only thing you care about are these horrible jokes that nobody understands," you tried to comfort him, but you started to feel annoyed and angry at the man.
"Okay, look-just listen to me, okay? That bear is possessed, that thing is the reason why almost everyone here is dead. We just need to burn the bear because I'm growing insane of seeing that girl just glaring at me," He hurried, letting go of the mirror and pointing towards the bear like it was the devil himself.
"Max, I want to ask you more questions. But you're clearly intoxicated and really tired. Let's just discuss this in the morning, okay? I know how you feel, our friends are dead and it's normal to imagine things," you gently explained, putting your hand on his shoulder, while he just kept looking at the damn bear.
Eventually, you let him sleep in your cabin, the spare bed where he would be sleeping. You slowly went to sleep, your arm already curling around the bear to hold it close to you, because it had always comforted you.
Present time.
You slowly awoke once you didn't feel the fur of your toy anymore, sitting up and trying to look for it. Realizing it's gone, and Max wasn't in the spare bed. Feeling that something was happening, you got out of bed, grabbed your flashlight and moved out of your cabin. Trying to look through the trees, until you saw two shadows in Max' cabin.
Slowly entering it, you heard the disgusting sound of an axe multiple times hitting something too fleshy to not be considered human. You looked just behind the table, hiding behind it. Only to find a random girl hitting Max with an axe, you saw the horrifying sight of your friend dead and slaughtered. You only connected the dots once you saw that the girl's bracelet was the same as your bear's necklace.
Not to exactly point it out, but you realized that Max' words were right. The innocent toy you always had was the problem of it all, the reason why so many people in your life had died. Fear freezed throughout your body, making you accidently drop your flashlight and it just rolled towards your dead friend.
The girl instantly tilted her head up and stopped her actions once she saw the flashlight, already knowing who it would be and knowing where the person was. She just headed towards the table, meeting your crouched-down and shivering form. She just tilted her head, axe still in her hand.
"I figured when you would finally wake up and leave your cabin," her words weren't comforting, but not threatening.
You closed your eyes, expecting to be gutted or slaughtered by the girl, waiting for the pain of your flesh to be torn, but it never came. You opened your eyes again, only to see the girl still standing above you, but she had already put the axe on the table. Why did she put it there so casually? Maybe she was just bored, or she already knew that you wouldn't use it to hurt her.
"Y'know? It felt good to finally murder that bitch. He was such a pest, an annoying whiny voice like he was a toddler instead of a grown man," she confessed casually, grabbing your arm and pulling you up. Her grip was tight, but it instantly softened once you felt the fear grow in your body, like she knew what you were feeling.
"Don't be so sad, you were mad at him just a few hours ago. I had to get rid of him, I have my reasons and you have yours," she reasoned, like this was just a tiny mistake than slaughtering all of your friend while in the disguise of your toy.
