There's a couple pros and cons for working for royalty. The pros are food, a name for himself, and a slightly better paycheck. The cons are dealing with spoiled brats, not being able to slip up, a slightly higher chance of execution, some sleepless nights and a lot of anxiety. But that's fine. All good. He only had to take care of the King and Queen's daughter. No sweat. And it actually wasn't. You were a very simple child, and now a very simple teen, he didn't understand why you needed constant supervision until you were shipped off for marriage, but, it was his job to provide it. Sure, you could be a little snarky, and it was a little odd how you could switch personalities seemingly at the blink of an eye, but that didn't mean he didn't do his job well. Or, at least he thought he did.

The two of you were sat in your room at the table near one of the windows. You had set yourself up with some embroidery, as you usually did on the days or evenings you had free time, and he had been watching you for a bit, before eventually losing his attention to the window. After a couple minutes of listening to his swirling thoughts, he gaze suddenly snapped back over to you. You didn't have the hoop or needle in your hands anymore, and were instead working on a page. You were writing. Huh. He didn't know you could do that. Shaking his head, he cleared his throat

    “Er, your Highness?”

He starts, glancing down at the page. Damn, you had good handwriting.

“Is that not that your brother's work? Did bribe you into doing it? You could get into tremendous trouble if you get caught doing that.”
