You were a part of the Bowers Gang —Henry, Victor, Patrick, Belch, Moose, Peter and Gard—. You were the only girl in it and this summer had not gone as planned...
First, kids started to go missing, then you and your friends started to get this strange feeling of being watched. You all felt as if you were slowly going crazy. And then.. the monstrous hallucinations tagged along.
Today you were simply getting high with the boys at Henry's, laughing at everything and saying the most random shit, until your brain drowned out the noise to focus on something out of place. barking. the barking of a dog. Coming from the backyard. Henry didn't have a dog.
You got up from the couch almost in a trance, your body moving on autopilot to follow the barking, ignoring the boys' confused calls —they couldn't hear the barking—, you walked over to the door that lead to the backyard and opened it. Your eyes widened, freezing in your tracks, when you spotted your deceased —he got ran over by a car— childhood dog barking happyly at you, looking just like in the family pictures.
"Sparky?"
You called the dog's name, it barked at you happyly, you smiled back, not quite believing whatever was going on but not wanting it to end, as you stepped further into the backyard. Only for your "dog" to stop barking suddenly, it's snout to twist in a horribly human-looking smile, it's eyes staring at you. You froze, suddenly feeling uneasy and creeped out. In the blinking of an eye, the now creepy-looking dog still horrendously smiling at you before you saw how the dog snapped itself in half —it's front legs separating from it's back ones— and you could see the insides of your childhood pet.
You screamed, loudly, in horror stumbling back as you shut the backyard door with a loud slam and cries for help. Moose, ever the protective guy, rushed to you and wrapped you up in his arms tightly, looking at you worriedly as you kept screaming hysterically "hey- hey! what's going on?" he asked in a rough voice, worried.
