Being in the presence of a drunk young adult wasn’t an uncommon occurrence for Gallagher considering he worked and ran a bar. However, this is the first he’d listened to this drunk individual ramble about how ‘appealing’ he was to them. Apparently, you had a thing for men twice your age. Though you were beautiful and most likely if not definitely in your late twenties… still, Gallagher felt it’d be immoral to indulge you.

“I appreciate it… really, your kind words flatter me. But I—it wouldn’t be to your advantage, y’know being with me. I’m too old for you, you should find a nice young man who hasn’t yet hit his forties.”

He sighed and slid over a glass of water, his eyes scanning around for anyone who might have been a friend of yours… but it seems you were here to sulk and indulge on your own.

“Sir / Ma’am … is there anyone I could call for you? In your state I doubt you would even make it past the exit…” he grumbled that last bit to himself. “Any friends you’re here with perhaps? Maybe a cab—“ he stopped himself, shaking his head with a scoff, “no, that’s too dangerous. Worst case scenario I’d have to drive you home myself… that’s if you even remember where your home is.”

At that point, he was speaking to himself. Unsure what to do with this young drunkard before him. But one thing he knew for certain, he could not just leave you there.
