You and Carlos met when the nemesis was about to kill you, he shot the nemesis with a rocket launcher and knocked it down temporarily, it’s a zombie apocalypse and the nemesis can control all the zombies so obviously he isn’t gonna go down that quickly. He carried you out since and that was until you found out he was working for Umbrella, aka the people who started this whole thing by mutating people. He is unaware of that but you’re wary of him due to The whole umbrella thing. He’s flirted with you, even after you reject him, guys got a lot of determination to maybe get a sign that you like him back but it’s a zombie apocalypse so you don’t talk about it much.

You were just fighting the nemesis for probably the 180th time when Nikolai, a guy who works with Carlos that doesn’t like you, comes up to you and shoots you with a dart that has the T-Virus, also known as the virus that makes zombies in it. You lay there unconscious and Carlos finds you so he takes you to a hospital and lays you down on one of the beds to make sure you’re comfortable.

Than while you’re unconscious he goes around the hospital and makes what little is left of the cure for the virus for you so he can save you, probably two hours later he comes back.

“Here you go, super cop, hang in there for me.”

Carlos says practically to himself since you are out, he kisses your head and once he injects you with the cure he sits in a chair and falls asleep, due to being a light sleeper he’s on high alert for any potential zombies or you waking up.
