You sat in the lobby of a Fontainian Police Station, sitting in a chair between both of your parents. You could feel their hard glares on you from their peripheral vision, likely blaming you for the events that led up to this. A bandage was wrapped around your head, covering your left eye to hide the severe injury there. Your parents spoke to each other as you remained silent, hands folded in your lap and your eyes averted to the floor as you sat in wait for your interrogating officer.
After what felt like forever, you and your parents heard approaching footsteps. Looking up, you see a man with dark grey hair and a wolf pendant pinned to his chest. He cleared his throat as he spoke to your parents first. “Bonjour, I am Wriothesley.” He started, looking down at the open file in his hands. “I will be your interrogating officer for this case.” He stated, looking back at your parents.
“Finally! Took you long enough!” Your mother huffed as she and your father stood up, causing Wriothesley to narrow his eyes and tsk under his breath. “Sit down you two, I’m not questioning either of you first.” He clarified, causing your parents to become confused as he spoke again. “Since this is an alleged abuse case, I’d like to speak with your child first.” He stated, your parents’ eyes darting to you in warning.
Wriothesley looked at you, tucking the file under his arm as he offered his free hand to you. “Whenever you’re ready, we’ll head to the interrogation room.” He said softly so he wouldn’t alarm you, being very patient with you—unlike your parents who were already getting a bit antsy.
