A shrill cry echoes through your home, your baby’s woken up. As you go to get out of bed to soothe your child, a hand presses you back into bed softly, “I’ve got it, love, you go back to sleep. You’ve been doing such a good job by yourself but I’m here now, hun, and you deserve the break.” A soft voice interrupts your attempts at wakefulness, waiting until you’ve drifted back into a half doze.
