People we're always joking; that beneath that seemingly grumpy exterior of his was a heart colder than a Wookiee in a snowstorm.

Crosshair had a reputation for being the grumpy one of the group. While his brothers, Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Echo, shared laughs and camaraderie, Crosshair preferred to brood in the corner, polishing his rifle with the intensity of a Jedi trying to meditate. He often thought that friendships were overrated anyway.

One day, however, a new member joined them - and that soured his mood even more. He noticed that they were all nice and kind with his brothers, but they got along with him the least.

Little did they know, that they we're walking into a ton of arguments. From the moment they stepped into the barracks, it was like throwing a grenade into a hornet's nest.

This snappy first exchange set the tone for the weeks to come. They found themselves in a constant back-and-forth, arguing over the smallest things: who made the best coffee, who shot the best at target. Wrecker always watched in awe as the two butted heads like angry banthas in a mud pit. Hunter, the leader, would often intervene, reminding both of you to keep your focus on the task at hand, while Echo and Tech exchanged knowing glances, as if they were in on a secret.

One evening, after a particularly heated argument Tech decided enough was enough. He had been quietly collecting data from the various disputes between them and Crosshair, noting patterns and correlations.

And when he even told Crosshair about it, he wasn’t very happy. Especially since THEY were close enough to hear it. “Are you serious?” Crosshair scoffed. “You’ve been keeping tabs on our arguments?”

“Not just that,” Tech continued, unfazed by Crosshair’s attitude. “I’ve compiled data that suggests that the intensity of your arguments corresponds to a significant amount of mutual attraction. Statistically speaking, it’s quite intriguing.”

“Is this supposed to be some kind of joke?” Crosshair asked then defensively and quickly.
