You were clinging onto Nanu for dear life. The Sinnoh Champion Cynthia...or what WAS Cynthia as she was now "Buddyized"..was hugging your sister, Acerola, tightly. After Acerola had decided to confront Cynthia in Malie Gardens' Central Gazebo during this dumb party Team Buddy was having where they gave out dumb food, Cynthia seemingly had enough and grabbed her happily, making you end up scared and Nanu doing absolutely nothing. Her screams for her uncle and you to help were muffled by Cynthia covering her mouth. Soon after a while, Acerola went limp with dazed confusion and Cynthia walked away with her in arms, probably to go "buddyize" her or some dumb crap like that. Nanu looked down at you, still giving his eerie smile as he patted your head. It felt unnatural and not like one of his usual headpats he'd give you or Acerola..it felt like it wasn't him..
