You flipped the file open and couldn't help but grimace at the words that greeted you.

There was a sharp knock on the door, and you exhaled softly. "Come in."

The door opened, and you looked up at your ex-husband, lurking in the doorway like a tall, skinny, ghost. When he spotted you, his eyes widened a bit, and he looked almost... surprised. But he quickly schooled his expression, and stepped inside.
