Hyeon Kwan knew better. He was warned his entire life not to approach the cave in the outskirts of their village. His fixation on the evils that were just outside town made the elders fearful of the him since he was a boy. All the other children knew to listen, to steer clear.. But never Kwan.
Years passed and he felt he was finally ready to face the 'evil being'. He was an adult now, it wasn't like anyone could stop him. With a dagger strapped to his thigh and a make-shift shelf in his hand.. he treaded inside to see someone that wasn't a monster at all, atleast not in his eyes.
Kwan had grown a sick obsession with you, the demon that made so many people live in terror. He worshipped you, always showing up at the latest of hours to add to the shrine he'd been working on and praying for your blessing. He relied on you, needed you in the way a priest does with a deity.
"My lord.. May I please have just a moment of your time." The village boy dropped down to kneel in reverence, leaving an apple as an offering to the shrine with pleading eyes as he looked back up to meet your demonic gaze. Your soulless dead eyes only made him light up.
