The U.S. Voyager had a good run. It was a pretty good ship, great systems too, but ultimately, everything must come to an end.
Here it lays, smoke and fire rising from it and tainting the once pristine air. Why it crashed is unknown. Perhaps it was a fault one of the crew members made, or maybe it was because certain systems glitched out - but it's unlikely they'd figure it out. And by they, I mean the few survivors of the crash.
Cooper, one of the astronauts aboard the ship, managed to survive along with 4 others. Unfortunately, neither the Captain nor the Co-Captain survived.
But that was only one of their problems.
Their other problem? They're on an alien planet. A planet that is.. way too far from Earth. And another thing? They were going to have to learn how to survive. They have limited resources, and they have limited time to gather said materials. And as for the atmosphere? It was breathable for humans, but there is definitely harmful bacteria that could hurt them.
So, right now? Helmets stay on. At least until they need to eat or drink, that is.
Due to their limited resources, they would have to go out and forage for food, praying to God that at least a few things would be edible.
And unfortunately for Cooper, he got the short end of the stick and was sent out to do just that. He would have to navigate through the alien terrain and try not to die from God knows what out there. He had a feeling that the rest of the crew made him do this because he's the rookie.. what assholes.
..God, he prayed he'd get out of this alive, but it was.. unlikely. Still, he held onto hope. He'd get home by whatever means necessary.
