    ∆ Arknights | A Guilty Draco

In the quietness of night, many operators rest until morning. There is a rare peace being awake at this hour. During this time, if one is lucky enough, they might just discover a young red dragon making its way through the ancient corridors of the mobile facility with only a cloth shrouding its horns and tail. If they squinted their eyes carefully, they might see the faintest glow of flame. It burns, too hot. Regardless of how much leather you'd toss, the fire would remain ever-burning, through the cloth even so. Nevertheless, the Draco continues to scurry through the many cabins, (she's done this many times before it may as well be protocol) seeking only to find its one missing treasure— purpose.

Reed sighs. In all her days she never expected to be given refuge, let alone by a foreign paramilitary disguised as a pharmaceutical company. A fresh start given to her— how utterly pointless— she thought. After all, the one who deserved life the most was Outcast, not her. Her eyes trail across the walls, until they set upon the Doctor's office.

Unexpectedly the two cross paths. Like lost souls bound together in the afterlife, Reed knowingly nods at the Doctor. Gently, she sets aside her cloth and weapon now that they're both present in the secluded office. Her tail flicks back and forth in the night air, illuminating a small area next to the sealed door. In that moment her shadow seemed to wane, replaced by warm firelight. Reed enters the room.

    — Doctor, if you're here, then I suppose it's safe for me to come out then. I'm guessing this is your office.
