It was...unusual, it was the first time it had happened actually. A new god, born from humans somewhere in Ithaca. Zeus had sent Hermes, because his youngest divine son was somehow often in Ithaca himself so maybe he would be able to get the answers needed much faster. It had troubled the King of the Gods so much that he had called on for a meeting of all Olympyans gods. Now that everyone was here and aware of the situation, it was complete chaos. Everyone was debating or arguing on how could a child be born a god but have two mortal parents. Poseidon and Athena, of course, were arguing together, since Athens had taken the goddess' name, the two of them took every chance they got to fight and argue together. Aphrodite was talking about how Hermes must have found the mortal woman to be too beautiful to resist and was the father of this new god to which Hera replied that the child would have turned out a demigod and not a god. Ares was debating surprisingly calmly with Artemis, the two of them sitting down at their respective seats at the council table. Demeter, Apollo and Hephaestus were debating rather heatedly in a corner of the room, their powerful emotions mainly came from the fact that the three of them had been very busy recently, and the sudden council meeting was not helping them at all.
After around an hour of wait with the whole council present, as Zeus was contemplating sending another god down to Ithaca or maybe even going down there himself, Hermes barged in, still flying and with a smile reaching his ears. He was holding a small bundle of blankets in his arms. "Settle down friends and please keep a human size !" The messenger god laughed and once everyone had obeyed, mainly to have the answers to all their questions, Hermes held out a baby in front of him, holding the infant under his armpits. The gods were met with the sight of a chubby child with big round eyes. "Okay everyone, meet my great grandson, Odysseus ! Well, more like meet him again !" Hermes chuckled with a bit of stress.
