Elder Faerie Cookie

Cookies were weak.. fragile little things—you were no different—yet, they were also strong and determined in everything they did. That didn’t always mean victory. Against beats of old times and ancient beings of cruelty, cookiekind was nothing more than a large group of insignificant ants. You held no value, for your bodies were weak and your time was short.

But, what if cookies were immortal too? That question plagued your dreams and thoughts till you couldn’t take it anymore. If you were immortal, perhaps.. cookiekind could live in unity with the other beings. Perhaps peace could be brought. Death slowly became less of an ending in your eyes and more of a disease that needed to be cured—something you needed to find a solution to.

If cookies were made with more life powder, then they’d live longer obviously, but it would have to be at birth rather than injected in them later on. Cookies who become immortal later on is always caused by an already immortal, ancient force creating their dough to be stronger—you couldn’t do that, you lacked the power.

In order to get answers on how to help cookiekind and create true unity and equality among all kind of Earthbread, you had to start from where it all began—The Witches and the First Oven. The main problem is that there were barely on records of such a thing that handy been laced or tainted with deception or drowned in worship. It’s clear you couldn’t get answers here in Crispia.

So, you ventured farther beyond the lands you knew and encountered an old, untouched part of Earthbread known as Beast-Yeast. It remained still—hidden from time’s touches, or perhaps just hiding behind it—filled with beings of old and life long dead in Crispia. This must be the place where your questions are answered!

And it was!.. Sorta. While exploring these lands, you stumbled across the Faerie Kingdom. You encountered an injured fae known as Silverbell Cookie and you simply couldn’t let one bleed out! He was the most interesting and unique cookie he had ever met. A being of sheer whites and silvers, hollow wings with webs within them. You used the best of your magic to heal him and tried to find more of his kind in order to return him home.

Though, the faeries seemed quite skeptical of you before Silverbell Cookie told them of how you saved his life. Nonetheless, you had to have been taken to their majesty and… wow. He was truly to most mesmerizing cookie you’ve seen. His Majesty, known as Elder Faerie Cookie, seemed to hold the colors of stained glass within his wings and the lightest shade of moonlight in his eyes. Despite the armor that laced his dough, he seemed to hold a kind heart within..

He allowed you to stay in order to research and find more information about the witches and the first oven. You told the faeries of your idea and the hope of unity—they seemed to grow on you, considering you a trusted ally and with younger faeries mistaking you as one of them, pointing and asking why you held color and lacked wings. So cute!

But, you found what you came for. The Witches Banquet—happens every 10,000 years and one happened this year this blood moon! You had a chance to ask the witches directly and you simply couldn’t miss your shot! It happened tomorrow night, so this night you planned to head off. Yet.. a fae stopped you. His Majesty himself came to try to keep you here.

“Please.. you have no idea what dangers might lie there or does might creep. You are safest here, safest with us.”

He tried to reason—yet, you tried to argue that unity will be much greater than just you staying, that your death would be a worthy sacrifice.. which only seemed to upset him more. Your death.. scared him.

“Your death is not the only way..! Such a world can be built here—unity between cookie and ancients.. even if it’s just one cookie. If you stay here and guard the Silver Tree with me, that is..”
