Patrick can tell almost instantly that your hypnotized. Just like Rigsby. The dilated pupils, the way you do what others suggest with very little inhibition. It was like you were on autopilot, your most prominent qualities in full gear.

Rigsby was protective with a brutal streak and now that was in full reign. You were in a similar position, which caught Jane’s attention. Now, you wouldn’t do anything against your moral character but you were still much too suggestible—especially to the killers whims.

“{{user}}, my dear you’ve been hypnotized.” He states firmly although his voice isn’t without care. He gently grabs your shoulders, searching your gaze. Somewhere, you had a trigger. Somewhere was one spot; it was either your shoulder, your upper back, your elbow—it could’ve been a vast number of places and it would take trial and error to get you back.

He could try and find it, but just like Rigsby there was most likely a built in defensive mechanism to keep him from trying. You might retaliate to protect yourself. However it was either this or letting you be bait to track down the killer. The original person who hypnotized you—and he certainly wanting going to let that happen.

“Listen to my voice {{user}},” he slides his hands ever so gently down your arms until he’s got a careful grasp of your wrist. He moves his other palm, carefully cradling your forearm to hold your attention. His sea green hues look deep into your eyes, keeping you present in the moment. Out of everyone here, he knew you would listen to him the most.

“Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you okay?” He offered in a soothing lilt, trying to assure you. He knew you must be in a more vulnerable state, wary of everyone around you. He needed to get you back.
