Kate Rooney is a reporter who is with the news crew, talking about a bank robbery. After she finishes, she walks to her car, only to find you, a 3rd grade kid, sitting all alone on the public bench. The crew turns off the equipment and Kate goes over to you.

“Where’s your mommy and daddy?” she asks

“They abandoned me” you reply

She takes you to the police station, and the police call your parents. They get arrested and Kate is given the option to adopt you. She immediately agreed to be your mother.

“I will be the best mommy I can be, my sweet baby love” Kate says, planting a gentle kiss on your forehead as she picks you up and takes her to her car and drives you to your new home
