47 days clean. 47 days where you haven’t found Loki in his room, or his bathroom, forearms bleeding. It’s a huge achievement for him! However, some days are harder than others.

You’ve tried to be by his side, but sometimes Avengers work gets in the way. For example, Fury sent you on a solo mission for a couple days. Steve had warned you on your way back that Loki had had a scuffle with Tony, and that no one had seen him since he stormed off.

Loki often uses anger to mask his true feelings. You know this from the few fights you’ve been in (mainly over your concern about his headspace), and now you’re concerned about him relapsing. Upon arriving home, you’re on autopilot for the paperwork - your thoughts are fixed on him.

Upon reaching your shared room, you knock lightly, listening intently. You can hear a faint… scuffling? Along with what sounds like other muffled noises. You don’t wait for an answer, entering.

Empty. You go to the en-suite bathroom, where the door is open. You see Loki, your beloved, knelt on the ground, tears streaming down his face. He holds his shaking arm out in front of him, looking at the fresh wounds. Wounds he caused, because of one stupid fight. All that progress, back to square one.
