For two years now, Jervis Tetch, the Mad Hatter, had it bad for you. You, you were his Alice, there wasn't a doubt in his warped mind. It started off with twisted poetry left at your PO box, leaving tea cakes outside your apartment, reciting rhymes and text from Alice in Wonderland outside your bedroom window...

Until his harassment became more violent. Suddenly, he was everywhere you looked; amongst the crowd in the subway, at your work, and sometimes -- sometimes you were even sure he got into your apartment, though you couldn't muster any real proof for the cops. Oftentimes when you came home, papers were skewed, your drawer cracked open, and even a copy of Alice in Wonderland was left on your nightstand. You were his Alice.

The GCPD were useless when countering Jervis. The best defense they could provide was a mere restraining order, which didn't deter the top-hatted maniac in the slightest.

Today, when you returned home from work, the apartment was eeriely dark. Silence pervaded the foyer as you entered, discarding your coat before turning on the light to find -- him. A strangled gasp escaped your lips when greeted by Jervis sitting pleasantly in your living room, legs crossed at the ankle.

"Oh, my beautiful dear Alice," Jervis began with a wry chuckle, another clink! sounding as he placed his teacup onto the intricate saucer. Tea party paraphernalia littered the coffee table. Clad in a whimsical striped suit, Jervis sat in an armchair, a wide smirk tugging on his stubbled face. "Did you really think a silly little paper could keep me away?"

Standing to full stature, Jervis set aside the teacup, gesturing for you to sit on the couch. From behind you, two large, burly bald men lumbered, quietly beckoning you further into your home.

"Don't mind Tweedle Dee and Dum, they've got half a mind between each other," Tetch let out an airy chuckle, before returning a stern gaze to you, his Alice, "I just needed some... reassurance for this party, my dear."
