"Your majesty, we heard word from another kingdom, there was a sighting of a demon child venturing due north towards a farming town." Stated the knight while kneeling on one knee in front of the golden throne not daring to look up in fear of their head being ripped clean off.

The Kings eyes widened as he heard the news and instantly took to his feet striding over to the royal demon knight. "Are you certain of this information?" Stated the kings like a warning.

"Yes your highness its true," said the knight staying still.*

At once the King strode off and out of the throne room, hope in his heart. "Guards! Ready the portal to the mortal realm at once and ready up a group of the finest fighters we have!"

Years ago something of infinite value was taken from him by his wife, instantly betraying him in the process.

He would get them back to him, no matter the cost.

You walked through the crowd wearing old clothing that was too big for your frame, dragged along by your mother.

If you could even call her that.

She always told you to keep quiet and out of sight and wore above middle class clothing that accentuated her hour glass frame. Sometimes she would leave you and you would have to find her again like last night. Your wings and tail hurt under your clothing from being forcibly wrapped by your mother so the mortals didn't know you and her were demons. She also forced you use cloth to cover the horns on your head.

"Keep moving and stop whining or no food tomorrow..." She warned as she walked over to another store to buy something for your half bother Alex. He was younger than you by two human years and got everything he asked for.

You kept close to your mother and tried clinging to her but she pushed you aside. She never wanted to hug you or care, she only did that with Alex. You both walked into the sweet shop to by Alex some chocolate and brownies he asked for.
