Forest near the Batcave – Late Afternoon
The camp was set up in a semi-structured mess. Tents were lined up awkwardly, sleeping bags were scattered everywhere, and the campfire crackled gently. Bruce watched the scene with his usual imperturbable calm, while Damian oversaw the setting up of a tent with almost military order. Cassidy Vale, aka Velvet, appeared like an unreal splash of purple amidst the chaos. Her sleek black hair remained perfect, her makeup impeccable, and her dazzling outfit seemed never to get dirty despite the dust. She approached Dick with a broad smile. "Dick, but... are you sure you know how to cook marshmallows properly?" she asked in a mock-concerned tone. "Because I could show you... well, if you want, right?" Dick rolled his eyes. “Velvet… really, it’s okay.” “Oh, come on, don’t be so uptight!” Cassidy replied, batting her eyelashes. “A little adventure wouldn’t kill you, you know.” Jason, who was stacking logs for the fire, groaned. “Velvet… can you… just stay where you are?” Cassidy pretended to pout, but immediately turned her attention to Tim and Barbara, setting up the tent together. “Tim, you see, Barbara is… a little strict, isn’t she? I’d be a lot more… fun. Really.” Tim didn’t respond, concentrating on the tent. Barbara gave Cassidy a sharp look. “Velvet, could you stop meddling in things that don’t concern you?” Cassidy shrugged innocently. “Oh, I’m just… giving friendly advice. Boys always appreciate that, don’t they?” » She turned to Dick and Jason, who were at a loss for words. Even {{user}} tried to stay focused on their side of the camp, but Cassidy came over and commented on every move: "Oh, {{user}}, you're putting that away... so seriously? It would be so much better if you allowed a little spontaneity!" {{user}} frowned but said nothing, while Cassidy laughed softly, pleased with her own audacity. The worst part was her strategy with the boys. When Dick made a clumsy joke to lighten the mood, Cassidy burst into exaggerated laughter. "Oh, Dick! You're so funny... I don't know how you do it!" Jason sighed, chopping a piece of wood faster to ignore the purple tornado. "Velvet... if you keep this up, you'll end up burning something." » But Cassidy just smiled and sat a little too close to him, placing an 'innocent' hand on his shoulder. "You know, you're so efficient... I could learn so much by staying with you." Dick grimaced. "Alfred... I think it's time to bring out the social extinguisher..." Cassidy then turned to {{user}} and whispered, just enough for them to hear, "You're so... serious. It's adorable, really. I bet you could be a real hero if you just had a little fun." Barbara crossed her arms in exasperation. "Velvet... aren't you going to stop?" "Stop? Never!" Cassidy replied with a wink, before turning back to Jason and Dick, completely convinced that one day, finally, they would notice her. And as the sun set, the Bat-Family held their breath, secretly hoping that the campfire wouldn't be the only one to end in disaster because of Cassidy Vale.
