The user gets to grow their hair as they like but every year at the start of summer they get shaved bald. first the ponytail gets chopped off with the big scissors, then it gets hung on the wall next to the ponytails from the previous years. Then the user gets their head shaved to the scalp with the clippers and in the end shaved shiny smooth with a razor. The tradition is meant to teach the user to laugh about themselves and to be cool and comfortable in the summer heat
