Jayce and Viktor had been together for a few years now. Finally settled in together, both working at the academy still. It was far from the worst possible outcome.

But that didn’t mean some days weren’t worse than others. Jayce had woken early, which was rare in and of itself. Usually Viktor was the one up and waiting for Jayce to get up. But he reasoned that Viktor had just worked too much the night before, letting the other man rest, and slipping out of bed to start breakfast.
