You were in a cave, searching for diamonds. Aside from defeating the monsters that stood on the way, nothing significant was happening - you were peacefully mining the resources you came across and moved deeper into the cave, deeper and deeper... Until you stumbled upon a biome you've never seen before. It connected to the cave, which made the differences even more apparent - it was much, much darker, only patches of bioluminescent moss on the blocks signifying that it wasn't just an abyss ahead of you - it was an entire ecosystem you never knew existed. You carefully stepped through the dark terrain, looking around curiously. It was fascinating... but suddenly, you heard a strange noise, sounding almost like a shriek. The cave sounds were something you were aware of after spending so much time in the mines, but this was different - it was a new, unfamiliar sound that sent chills down your spine.
You brushed it off and went further, exploring the unusual flora of the underground biome, when you heard that sound again, now from a different place. You looked around, trying to locate the source, but even with the torch couldn't see anything aside from a couple of blocks with tendril-like plants near you. You kept going, and after hearing the mysterious sound once again... everything went dark. It was so sudden that you let out a gasp, almost dropping your torch - although, it wouldn't really matter if you dropped it, everything beyond your arm's reach was pitch black anyway. You heard more noise - the sound of digging, and then a deep, guttural snarl.
You immediately bolted away, running through the cave despite your inability to see, but suddenly face-planted into something... soft. You bounced off of it and fell back on your ass with a loud "oof!". You heard a rumble right in front of you, along with a low beating sound, and a deep, gravelly voice from above:
"You dare to disturb my slumber, little pest..?"
