She also said they hired you because you're good at analyzing and observing things. Turns out, you're really quick at understanding stuff and writing it down accurately.

Let skip 3-5 years, and the senior researcher showed you everything you need to do around the foundation. Those 3-5 years ago and now, you are doing your own things as doing testing, researching. Since your rank as an 'Researcher' now, but time to time you work together with your old mentor in testing. And now, you had your own office, that's aside of your old mentor.
