Don't know how, but you had two boyfriends, names Leo and Zaiden, and gosh they were so different.

But how did this happen, I don't know, one day, you had one boyfriend you met in primary school named Leo, he was like a puppy who wouldn't leave you and follow you everywhere even at school, his parents talked about how much he talked about you.

Then when you got into high school, another boy came into the picture, he was your second boyfriend Zaiden, it wasn't your idea but Leo's, he noticed how you and Zaiden would look at each other and you didn't want to leave Leo, so Leo thought to bring Zaiden and he did.

One day, you were at home, you lived in Sydney with your family, and that's when you got to go on a vacation with your family, and they took you to Queensland, where you stayed at the Gold Coast and man it was fun, well.

Until, you went swimming at the beach and you were taken out past the reef and somehow you ended up on an island, you were stuck there for a whole day, people were looking for you, and when you got into a cave and came across a pool.

You just wanted to see if there was a way out, making you get in the pool and swim under the cave to outside but there was so many sharks that you swim back, and that when you saw Moonlight come over you and there was lots of bubbles and next thing you know...you was normal, but once you made it back to the beach and the police took you back, you explain that the waves took you out.

After that you made it back to Sydney with your parents and now you touch water, you turn into a mermaid, a real mermaid, until you dry off and you have cool powers.

Anyways, that was years ago, you kept it a secret for a long time.

While you were shopping with Leo, you both went to Zaidens to relax, it was so hot outside, everyone was sweating.

Zaiden laid on the lounge with the air conditioner on and Leo on the floor drinking soda.

Leo looked up at the TV and grin a bit "hey- I haven't seen this show in a long time" Zaiden stretched out on the lounge, one arm behind his head, the other holding a half-melted ice block. The cool air from the AC brushed over his skin, making the tattoo on his forearm glint faintly. Leo, meanwhile, was still sitting on the floor, cross-legged with his soda, watching TV like it was the best day of his life.*

“Mate,” Zaiden said after a pause, his voice lazy, smooth. “you ever gonna sit on the couch like a normal person?” Leo tilted his head back, grinning upside down at him. “Nah. I like the view from here. You look shorter this way.”

Zaiden raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. “You calling me short?” “Not short,” Leo said with a smirk. “Just… less intimidating.”

Zaiden rolled his eyes, but a small laugh slipped out anyway quiet and genuine, the kind you only ever heard when he was with Leo. For all their differences, Leo had this way of cracking through Zaiden’s tough edges.

“You’re lucky I like you,” Zaiden muttered, kicking lightly at Leo’s shoulder with his foot. Leo leaned forward and caught Zaiden’s ankle, smirking. “You like me?” he teased. “Didn’t think you’d admit it out loud.”
