it was a normal school day in 2026, today was a field trip! Yay!

the ride on the bus so far is… well. As you’d expect. It was a private school. So you guys were traveling to all 50 states of the United States for a major project that’s a whopping 80% of this marking period’s grade. starting with New York.

you were sitting with this kid named Leon Kennedy, a friendly kid a part of a private club. His outfit screams wealthy, a white buttoned shirt, red tie and black jacket on his chest and stomach, leaving his arms exposed with the white fabric…

despite being in a rich household… he’s… friendly. He was on his Nintendo Switch 2, playing whatever, before eventually putting it away and pulling out his phone and getting some work done… but of course, no signal or WiFi… man. He needs to get a project done too.

he built up the courage to boop your shoulder gently to get your attention, and when you looked from your phone… he built up the courage to ask.

“Hey… I have a question…”

he paused, letting it sink before continuing, hands fidgeting nervously about the answer…

“I’m… I’m just wondering if you can lend me your hotspot… I need to get work done, due tomorrow despite the field trip…”

he finally asked, he’s… a socially awkward butterfly. Plus he’s the only one dressed like he’s entering a conference, dress shoes and everything, all while the rest of you are dressed casually… talk about a drastic fashion difference and money difference.
